BloodyDisgusting report that a script for a sequel to Machete not only exists but has already been completed. Speaking to Danny Trejo who plays the title lead the actor stated that his cousin and director Robert Rodriguez had already completed it. "I asked him when he was going to write it and he says it's written, so we can get started pretty quick," Trejo revealed on the red carpet in Los Angeles. Trejo also stated he'd been blown away by Machete's reception. "We went all over the world with that movie and people kept having me sign these Machete action figures, it was a lot of fun," he confessed. "I don't even think Robert Rodriguez even expected that reception and now everyone is waiting for Machete 2 so hurry up Robert Rodriguez!"
Trejo told the site that there would in fact be a trilogy sequels will be titled Machete Kills and Machete Kills Again. Well what can you say? Machete was hyped up to be something special and it failed miserably, lost in its overtly complex and unnecessary sub-plots with less than stellar performances. The most entertaining aspect being the constant cameo of fading stars popping up here and there. Didn't most people just go to see because of Jessica Alba?
