Porn production company Vivid Video and Axel Braun Productions were recently quite unhappy that one of their recent masterpieces Batman XXX: A Porn Parody found its way onto torrent sites and was enjoyed by many without as much as spending a lousy dime. So the two companies launched a case against pretty much everybody who downloaded the caped crusading porn movie. The good news for all those lonely folks today is that all but one case was dismissed by the preceding judge who stated that "because each would have a different defence, a joint prosecution would make no sense". What that means to non-viewers of Law & Order is that Vivid Video would have to launch an individual case against every single downloader.
The case can in effect go ahead, but only against the owner of the first IP address identified by the company [major unlucky]. This news comes via good ole British Bleeding Cool so I have used copy and paste sparingly.;)
