DIRECTORS MCG & BRECK EISNER FIGHT IT OUT OVER [OUIJA] ..WHY?

Universal Pictures & Platinum Dunes are still without a director for their "adventure storyOuija based on the classic "board game" of the same name. Screenwriters Adam Horowitz & Edward Kitsis were asked earlier this week if the project would be scary "No. It’s a big adventure movie" answered Horowitz. ..Audience pause.

Sylvain White [The Losers], Pierre Morel [Taken], Scott Stewart [Legion] & John Moore [Max Payne] all pitched their ideas recently of how they would make the film and were all turned down by producer Michael Bay and the Studios. It looks like the directors chair is down to two individuals: McG [Terminator Salvation] and Breck Eisner [The Crazies]. Both directors recently made their pitch to the studio from the script written by Kitsis and Horowitz. Eisner did good with The Crazies remake but McG is one of my favorite directors out there. Why the hell they are fighting over the new Jumanji?, I don't know. Why would anybody attempt to soften down a seriously scary phenomenon? Are they looking for a soft Rating? Sure ..how many parents are gonna take their kids to see "Oujia the fantasy adventure." The movie has a Nov 22nd, 2012 release date in place, so a director will have to be found early in the New Year to keep schedules happy.
