Director James Cameron has stated for the record that he will not be directing Cleopatra with Angelina Jolie starring in the film. It was previously reported last month he was negotiating to direct the movie with Sony.
“I am not doing Cleopatra. That has been decided,” Cameron said to Fox News. Cameron is pushing ahead with two Avatars sequels instead with the next one beginning production early next year. The version of Cleopatras biography would have been based on Stacy Schiff’s book called Cleopatra: A Life, which was just released in book stores this week.
