Caprica, the television series prequel to the hit reboot
of Battlestar Galactica, has been cancelled, reports Entertainment Weekly. The show debuted in January of 2010 and was slated for a
13 episode season. With five unaired episodes remaining, Syfy will delay
broadcast until an unnannounced date in early 2011. Despite the series’ cancellation, Syfy will still move
forward with the recently
announced Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome will is also
planned as a prequel to the network’s first series, set during the 10th year of the Cylon war.
