Rosario Dawson revealed she briefly chatted to director Robert Rodriguez and quizzed him on the where abouts of the sequel to Sin City [2005], specifically on squeezing back into the same skimpy costumes she did in the
first movie.
The actress, who played prostitute Gail in the movie
adaptation of the graphic novel, wants director Robert Rodriguez
to start filming soon before she’s too old to wear a dominatrix
costume!
“The last time I saw Robert Rodriguez was a month
ago and he really wants to make ‘Sin City 2’ happen. I said, ‘I understand you’ve
been taking your time, but if you want me to wear the outfit that fits into one
hand, dude, I’m not getting any younger’.”
Back in July Rodriguez stated that he was re-writing the script for the sequel[s]:
"We're still working on Sin City, I want to do it so we'll see. It's just a matter of when, We have a script... a rewritten script that we still have to write and it's just finding the right time slot to do it."
Originally Sin City 2 and 3 were to be shot
back to back. Sin city creator Frank Miller cast Angelina
Jolie for one of the main roles in A Dame to Kill for, the major unused story from Miller’s
original graphic novels which is seen as a shoe-in for the sequel. When Jolie
got pregnant and other pieces never came together for the movie, it was
delayed. Hopefully Miller will give her a call again. Is there anyone else
being better suited to the title?
With Rodriguez currently busy directing Spy Kids 4: All
the Time in the World and also said to be Fox’s top choice to helm Deadpool,
it may be a while until we see him in the directors chair for a Sin City
sequel.
