OLIVIA WILDE MET WITH BOTH RIDLEY SCOTT & FOX SEPERATELY FOR [ALIEN PREQUEL]

There is a long list of potential leads for Ridley Scott's upcoming Alien prequel that has developed steadily over the last few months Noomi Rapace, Carey Mulligan, Gemma Arterton, Abbie Cornish, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and even Kiera Knightly. However a close source has revealed a more realistic actress is being seriously considered, Olivia Wilde currently riding a wave of "buzz" from her form-fitting getup in Tron: Legacy is being considered for the female lead. We reported as far back as August that Rapace had been in talks with Scott and she is still considered the favourite but there have been concerns. Fox are worried over her command of English and they are expected to be "heavily involved" in the final casting choices.

It’s hardly surprising that Scott wants Rapace for the part. With a role in the upcoming Sherlock Homes 2, an Oscar campaign underway for her work in The Girl With Dragon Tattoo and the fact that she is now an extremely hot property in Hollywood, it seems everyone wants to work with her. But apparently Rapace’s command of English is not great. Is that really an issue?  Wilde met with both Ridley Scott and Fox separately this week and is also seen as a front-runner with Rapace, maybe even a replacement. The separate meetings do suggest some disparity still lingers after initial reports reveal Scott and Fox's conflict over Budget and rating criteria.
