In the booklet accompanying the new Alien Anthology Ridley Scott thanks the support and enthusiasm of Alien fans throughout the years and then makes a highly intriguing statement in what to expect for his forthcoming Alien Prequels.
Transcribed from the Alien Anthology Booklet:
“This set and these films exist largely because of your
enthusiasm and support over the last three decades. I hope you enjoy what I
have in store for you, as we return to this dark, mysterious universe, filled
with Aliens, Space Jockeys and something even more dangerous that you haven't seen yet. Consider this the ultimate primer for what’s to come.”

Now thats interesting, those familiar with the Alien Harvest script will largely have a rough inclination of the first prequels plot albeit an early draft Alien Harvest does include many thematic elements that are retained in Damon Lindelof's re-write Alien the Xenomorph. So something we haven't seen before?, Scott has referred to the Space Jockey as being possibly enclosed within a space suit, but something even more dangerous than the Alien? Well Scott did refer to the Space Jockey's world as being savage:
“If you
explain who he was and where he came from, then that will deal with the
savagery of this version, which will be pretty savage. Then you may want to
find out where they came from, the place where his people come from.”
The Space Jockey may well not be what Scott is referring to but anyway we decided to look back and ask who the hell is this Guy? and how has his role evolved from the original film?
