WANTED: [SUPERMAN REBOOT] DIRECTOR ..ANYBODY?

Warner Bros. have been turned down by both Zack Snyder & Guillermo Del Toro in their pursuit of a Director for their Superman reboot [Yawn]. But now Deadline.com are reporting that Superman producers Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas are getting closer to resuscitating the Man of Steel and have begun meeting with a short list of directors.

The list supposedly includes Tony Scott (Unstoppable), Matt Reeves (Cloverfield/Let Me In), Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) and Duncan Jones (Source Code). Several of these directors have movie commitments like Liebesman, which make them unlikely. According to the Deadline.com report, Nolan has already started meeting with candidates and will submit his choice to the studio within the next few weeks. Warner Bros are hoping to have the Man of Steel back in theaters by 2012 due to the studio loosing certain rights to the iconic character in 2013 after a judge ruled favorably on behalf of the heirs of Superman creator Jerry Siegel.
