RONALD D. MOORE HAS A NEW SERIES IN MIND, FRAK!

Television enters its fall season in just a couple weeks, but networks are still looking ahead to new series prospects. Deadline and EW have the early word on a new series from one particular executive producer who here at scriptflags we practically get turned on by, Ronald D. Moore, who previously partnered with David Eick on the phenomenal re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica
For BSG, Moore recorded an essential series of episode commentaries that are about as good as podcasts get — digressive, friendly, and irreverent. (On the commentaries, Moore always makes a point of noting what brand of scotch he’s sipping and what cigarettes he’s smoking while recording.) The podcast include a now legendary episode: a three hour drunken cast member round table discussion on the third season. Though little is currently known about new the series, it’s apparently a police procedural set in a world of magic not completely unlike Harry Potter, but with a predominantly adult cast. Sounds like a welcome departure from the traditional police dramas featuring cops with various psychological problems and ghosts from their past. It may even serve as a fine replacement for Law & Order since NBC canned that series recently.
Updates as they Happen.
