Frank Darabont [The Shawshank Redemption] has brought The Walking Dead to life for a new AMC series debuting this fall, and the full Comic-Con trailer has found its way online.
"The Walking Dead," based on Robert Kirkman's comic book of the same name, follows small-town cop Rick Grimes [Andrew Lincoln], who awakens after a firefight with a criminal to find there's been a Zombie Apocalypse. Grimes soon joins forces with some fellow survivors to try and make their way in an undead world.
The show will launch Sunday, October 31st. That's right, Halloween night. And the first episode will be supersized to 90 minutes. The series will premiere during AMC's Fearfest, the network's annual marathon of thriller and horror films. Fearfest is celebrating its 14th year by airing 14 consecutive days of themed programming.
