Columbia Pictures has launched the official website for David Fincher’s The Social Network at TheSocialNetwork-Movie.com, and in doing so, have released 46 high resolution photos, both stills from the movie and promotional photos taken for the film.
Click over to The Social Network website and you’ll hear music in the background, which just might be a piece of the score which was composed by Trent Reznor for the film. The movie stars Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, Armie Hammer and Rooney Mara. Columbia Pictures has given the film a rumored $47 million budget. Based on Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal, The Social Network tells the story of Eduardo Saverin and Mark Zuckerberg, the founders of Facebook . The screenplay was written by Aaron Sorkin.

Eduardo Saverin and Mark Zuckerberg were Harvard undergraduates and best friends–outsiders at a school filled with polished prep-school grads and long-time legacies. They shared both academic brilliance in math and a geeky awkwardness with women. Eduardo figured their ticket to social acceptance–and sexual success–was getting invited to join one of the university’s Final Clubs, a constellation of elite societies that had groomed generations of the most powerful men in the world and ranked on top of the inflexible hierarchy at Harvard.
